For
Developers

Every development site is different, and the quickest way to get the right level of bat survey is to speak with us directly.

Option 1

You don’t have an ecologist yet

If you’re at the very start and aren’t sure what surveys are required, our friends at harper.eco can guide you through the whole process. They’ll explain exactly what surveys are required for your project, provide a clear quote, and support you step‑by‑step from the initial assessment to a finished report.

Once the survey requirements are confirmed, we work directly with harper.eco to carry out all the emergence surveys using our thermal drones.

We’ve supported surveys on large‑scale development sites, and this is where the drone really comes into its own. Using drone surveys provides several key benefits for developers:

  • More accurate and professional survey outputs for planning applications

  • Fewer surveyors required on site, reducing staffing and coordination costs

  • A streamlined, efficient process, ideal for large or time‑sensitive projects

Cost: Will depend on the scale & complexity of your project, harper.eco will provide you with this.

Option 2

You already have an ecologist

If your ecologist is already leading the project, we can support their work with drone emergence surveys.

When deadlines are tight or multiple buildings need surveying.

Thermal drones can significantly accelerate what your ecologist needs to deliver, by providing:

  • Faster, clearer detection of high‑level features

  • Full coverage of large or complex roof structures

  • Efficient surveying on multi‑building or difficult‑access sites

  • High‑quality thermal footage reviewed by specialists.

We coordinate directly with your ecologist, providing them with all the results they need. You can either direct your ecologist to our For Ecologists page or use the contact form to get in touch!
